2019 Rosé Wine List

Reading Time: 4 minutes

It’s time for the annual MavenMomma Rosé list. Rosé has been rising in popularity since 2015, but it has been a mainstay in my household since 2010 when I had my first glass of pink wine.  This year I am feeling sparkling rosés, and holding on to some classics plus my fave boutique blend. Scroll the list below to find your perfect pairing! Don’t see your fave on the list?  Share your rosé of choice below in comments.

Schloss Gobelsburg Schlosskellerei Rosé

Fragrant with wild cherry and berry bouquet. With no acidity this rosé makes the ultimate companionship wine-with food or simply with friends.

Whispering Angel

It is the brand that introduced Americans to rose and ranked, by Nielsen, as the No. 1 selling imported French wine year after year. This favorite rosé is widely available at a great price point and goes well with most food. Bonus, one can enjoy Whispering Angel year round. This ubiquitous rosé made this year's list for it's staying power-a classic. Tasting Notes: Light fruit flavors with a clean finish.

Nicolas Feuillatte Reserve Exclusive

When you want to go a little fancy without spending too much pop this beautiful rosé champagne. Réserve Exclusive Rosé is full with red summer fruit flavors, without hitting one over the head as bubbles can sometimes do. Langlois Chateau Cremant de Loire Brut

There is noting better in the Summer than a Rosé that sparkles. Add this one to your Summer repertoire if you appreciate a full body rosé with slight tannin and Summer strawberries flavor. This is an excellent rooftop or garden apéritif-and transitions nicely to the table-if you must.

Gérard Bertrand Cotes Des Roses

Since discovering this full bodied rosé at a Costco, I keep it in the fridge. It serves as my Summer table wine and a great aperitif I offer guest who pop in for a visit. The rose carving at the base of bottle makes the perfect vase for a single long stem flower! You can find this rosé in your local Target, Costco, pretty much anywhere you find wine.

Brad and Angelina may not have made it as a couple, but their rosé partnership keeps going. This is a good rosé when you are in the mood for a rich and full body wine with a little more bite. Miraval has berries and caramel/sticky flavor perfect for a Summer barbecue. This is another Rosé you can find mostly anywhere you buy wine.

Château La Gordonne - "Vérité du Terroir" Côtes de Provence

I am calling this one a new classic thanks to its versatility. Light and refreshing, yet full of summer fruit and citrus flavor, this rosé goes great with spice, salads, fish, cheese, I could go one but instead you should go find a bottle to enjoy this Summer!

Ameztoi Txakolina Rubentis

This is a boutique wine find so not available everywhere. Therefore when you find it, grab it. I have been known to buy by the case. This rosé is light and effervescent-slight bubbles. It pairs perfectly with seafood, fish, vegetables, pealla, and white meat.

Aldi Rosé

Bonus bargin news: While Aldi has launched 6 new rosés in the UK, here stateside we eagerly await the crowd fave Côtes de Provence rosé. Check you local Aldi for availability.
